Discrimination Essay
Judging people by their race is like judging your socks for being on your feet. Its
pointless right? People all over the world are being discriminated because what sex they like or what gender they like. Discrimination is one of the biggest problems that everyday people deal with on a daily basis. Personally I think the government should deal with this problem to a larger extent instead of slapping racist people on the wrist for making a racist remark towards someone or bullying someone for sexual orientation.
People bashing each other because of irrelevant topics such as sexuality or gender is a huge problem. Teenagers in this generation are noticing their sexuality or gender and can’t be happy because society says it’s “Wrong” or “Sinful”. No one has the power to tell anyone how to live their life, unless they are a third world country ruled by a country. Teens take their life everyday in fear of what society has to say, or are scared of what society will do because of their life choices. I think discrimination should be dealt with as a bigger issue that it actually is. Yet the government is more worried that a person has a cellphone other then if they are cutting their wrists or jumping off bridges because of what society has to say about them. Humans are more scared of what the next race has to say other then actual disasters that can possibly happen. I could be over exaggerating or I could be right, It depends how people look at life.
To solve this issue children should be taught to love one another for who they choose to be and who they are. Parents should teach their children that being different isn't such a bad thing as people make it seem. People will always make rude or racist remarks but we can’t do anything about it, besides hope that it doesn't affect us as much. Slavery has been abolished so why cant racism also be abolished. There would be less fights and disagreements if racism was made illegal.
Discrimination against people because of their race, sexuality , or gender should be made illegal instead of being talked about on social media or mainstream news.
